This is the place where I stayed in Dubrovnik. Their house is in Lapad, very close to Lapad marina and the beach at Uvala Lapad There is a great view of Petka, one of the most verdant hills in Dubrovnik and you can also see the Cruise ships docked at the harbour in Gruz. Lapad is about a 10 min bus ride from the old town and the bus, no 6, runs every ten minutes. There are some very nice restaurants and cafes on the walk down to Uvala Lapad as well as on the waterfront at Lapad marina.

They have 2 rooms to rent out, both doubles. There is also a separate kitchen if people want to do self-catering. I opted for half-board as I wanted to improve my Croatian. The family are very hospitable and Jela is a great cook. Dragan's speciality is mussels - bought fresh from Peljesac peninsula and drunk with the local red wine.

Dragan speaks quite good English already and is keen to improve.
